Full Stack Web Developer



Notebleu is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic Web Developer well versed in the LAMP stack.  This position will provide support and new feature development for Notebleu's diverse clientele.

Notebleu is a design and technology company in Seattle, Washington.  We are a small team of dedicated, warm individuals committed to high quality output and close collaboration.

Job duties include:

  • Taking point on support requests and bug fixes
    • Monitoring email and support ticketing systems for new activity
    • Upholding Service Level Agreements and organizing work based on priorities
    • Working closely with Project and Product Managers to understand support requests and efficiently resolve them
    • Tackling programming challenges head on with competence and completeness
    • Managing and prioritizing multiple ongoing support tasks 
    • Awareness of systems and their internal interactions
  • Spearheading new feature development for existing clients and codebases
    • Working closely with Project and Product managers to develop and documenting feature requirements
    • Working with the rest of the development team to implement and test features in an agile workflow
    • Nimbly balancing support requests with ongoing feature development projects
  • Contributing to the delivery of projects by participating in usability testing and other launch efforts
  • Participating in code review and pair programming

 

A qualified applicant will possess the following:

  • 2-5 years applied experience with PHP, MySQL and Linux Web Servers running Apache and/or Nginx
  • Skill at the command line and with shell scripting
  • Skill with JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks
  • Skill with XHTML, HTML5 and CSS 2/3
  • Experience working with REST and SOAP APIs 
  • Familiarity with networking, DNS and troubleshooting in a web browser and on the command line
  • Experience with PHP Frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, ExpressionEngine, Wordpress and Drupal
  • Proficiency with MacOS
  • Exceptional ability to read and build upon code originally developed by others
  • Strong time management skill
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Problem solving moxy
  • Self-starting mentality (independent ability to assess priorities, solve problems, report on status and escalate as needed)
  • Attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills
  • Comfort reading technical texts and documentation
  • Eagerness to assist in team building, including mentoring team members

The annual salary for this position is competitive, commensurate with experience, and includes attractive benefits. This is a full-time, exempt position.
